We use BoldSign, a legally compliant digital signing platform, to send and collect signatures securely through WhatsApp.
How the signing process works
Step 1: We send the document. You get a message such as, "Your employment contract is ready for signing. Tap below to open and review."
Step 2: Tap to open the document. It opens in your browser, with no app needed. You can scroll through and review all the details.
Step 3: Tap to sign. Add your signature or initials on the screen, then confirm your name and the date.
Once both parties have signed, the document is locked and stored.
Where signed documents are stored
Signed documents are saved automatically in AskMandla's secure cloud. You can get to them any time on WhatsApp by sending a message like:

Is it legally valid?
Yes. Digital signatures are recognised under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) in South Africa.
Every signed document records the signer's phone number, name and a timestamp. If needed, it can be submitted to the CCMA or the Department of Employment and Labour.
What if I need to make changes?
Message us on WhatsApp with something like "Edit contract" or "Update hours/salary". We will revise the document, resend it for signing, and save the updated version. You can also upload your own documents for us to store.
